Ferromatik UK and Hardie Polymers win prestigious Plastics Industry Awards

SPRA Corporate Member, Ferromatik UK, is to be congratulated on winning the Plastics Industry Award for the category of ‘Supplier Partnership: Prime Machinery’ , working with RPC Group.

The company recently introduced its latest version of the all-electric Elektron series at Interplas, featuring the easy to use 15” ENDURA touch controls. Using up to 60%, less energy, the Elektron has become the popular choice for injection moulders for both general and clean room applications and is now available from 30 – 650 tonnes clamp force.

Perhaps what may be less known is that Ferromatik Milacron pioneered the Cube system in conjunction with Foboha, a 4-station stack turning mould ideal for large cavitation/high volume manufacturing. There are now over 200 cube systems operating on Ferromatik Milacron machines globally.

Another innovation is the Monosandwich using a secondary extruder on a single machine where barrier or skin material can be produced easily together without the need for an additional injection moulding machine. In all situations, Ferromatik UK offer complete solutions for production incorporating high-quality, proven robot automation and conveyor systems from WEMO. Temperature controllers, chiller units and water filtration from SELLA complement the range.

Ferromatik UK Managing Director, Graeme Padfield said “We are immensely proud to receive the winner’s award on behalf of Ferromatik Milacron in the Supplier Partnership: Prime Machinery Category. Our efforts on innovation and emphasis on strong supportive service have been recognised – it has been a real team effort and I wish to thank everyone at Ferromatik for their valued contribution and dedication”.

The 2014 Plastics Industry Awards were announced and distributed at a sell-out event at the Hilton on Park Lane Hotel in London on 24 October, with 800 guests and hosted by TV presenter Al Murray – aka the Pub Landlord.

SPRA Corporate Members, Engel UK, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag and Summit Systems also featured as sponsors for some of the 17 awards.
